RecyclageVR - Sorting Challenge
A virtual reality game and touch table game to learn the proper waste sorting gesture.
About the project
The sorting challenge is part of RecyclageVR, our catalog of applications focused on waste and the circular economy. The player must correctly sort the waste on a conveyor belt to score points.
The project exists in two formats: a VR version and a touch version.
On the VR version, I primarily worked on the polish, integration, lighting, and optimization of the environments.
On the touch version, I managed the integration, animations, and all the final polish of the application.
My role in the project
VFX and shaders
Improvement of existing shaders and creation of new VFX (tutorial spheres, Recyclo levitation, effects from trash bins, conveyor belt, player hands…)
Integration and lighting
Integration of assets for the VR version and UIs for the touch version, lighting and generation of lightmaps for 3D scenes, and implementing responsive design for the touch version.
Animations, sounds
Adding animations to the bins and their feedback, UI animations for the touchscreen version (panels, buttons, tooltips), visual and sound interactions on the homepage, and a complete redesign of Recyclo's voice with translation into English.
Optimization
Bake of meshes and lights, using the Profiler and the Memory Profiler to improve the project's performance.
